Post Cancer Breast Reconstruction

The reconstruction of a breast or breasts in a patient who has undergone a mastectomy (breast amputation) caused by cancer may be performed in an immediate or delayed period of time. Variable in each case.

The reconstruction techniques applied are:

1. Mammary reconstruction with expansor implants.

2. Reconstruction with local flaps.

3. Reconstruction with wide dorsal muscle flaps and implants.

4. Reconstruction with abdominal wall muscles (TRAM).   More info [+]
