Buttock Augmentation (Gluteoplasty)

The lack of volume in the buttock area can be genetic or caused by advanced aging. People may feel unconformity because of this condition and it may even affect their self-esteem. Nevertheless, this inconvenience can be solved with a Buttock Augmentation, performed by either two techniques:

1. Gluteal implant positioning into the buttocks. This procedure consists on making an incision in the inner buttock area of approximately 5 cms, placing the implant within the buttock muscle.

This intervention is generally performed with epidural anesthesia and sedation. One overnight stay on our private suites is required because of the use of drainages. The use of a compressive garment for a period of a month is required.

2. Fat injection into the buttocks. This procedure consists on obtaining fat from another part of the body by liposuction means; afterwards, this fat will be injected into the buttock obtaining the volume desired.

This is an out patient procedure performed under local anesthesia. Recovery time average is of two weeks. The use of a compressive garment by a period of a month is required.
