Breast Reduction in men (Gynecomastia)

Some men develop growth of the mammary glands and have skin excess, this is generally caused by weight loss or the increase of fat fatty tissue in this region. This syndrome, called Ginecomastia can be uncomfortable and may cause shame and low self-esteem.

The surgery to correct this problem is a combination of mammary tissue elimination and liposuction. The incisions in this procedure are generally made around the areola. This is an out patient procedure performed under local anesthesia. Recovery time average is of two weeks.
